Crypto, Financial Sovereignty and Why it Matters

What You’ll Learn

  • What makes decentralized systems different from centralized ones

  • Why DeFi (Decentralized Finance) exists, and how it compares to traditional finance

  • The basics of blockchains: Layer 1s vs Layer 2s

  • The different types of tokens you’ll see (and use) in crypto

What You’ll Do

  • Set up your own self-custodial crypto wallet

  • Learn how to keep your wallet safe

  • Send and receive tokens on-chain

  • Swap USDC for ETH and wBTC in a live exercise

Requirements

  • Be a member of The LifeDAO

  • Own an rsNFT*

  • Have $500 in USDC (a crypto version of the U.S. dollar) as play money for use during the workshop.

How to Join

  1. Sign up to the workshop: fill out your details by clicking on the sign up link

  2. Pay $1,000: this covers both your rsNFT ($500) and your play money ($500). $500 will be converted into USDC and sent back to you during the session after we show you how to create your crypto wallet.

  3. Get your The LifeDAO invite code: If you’re not yet a member, the team will send you an invite code to sign up, this final step confirms your spot in the workshop.
